We know that web search engine is designed to search for information on the world wide web. Search engine operate following order : web crawling, indexing and searching. Today, maybe we can't find any information from internet without using search engine. Although there're many online company that give another chance to search information from internet like classified, site/blog directory, etc, but majority people still used search engine to find information from internet.

Web search engines work by storing information about many web pages, which they retrieve from www itself. These page are retrieved by a web crawler (spider). So, that the web crawling can be explain as process to retrieve these pages that have been stored and indexed by search engine.

The content of each page are then analyzed to determine how it should be indexed (for example, words are extracted from the title, headings, or special fields called meta tags. Data about web pages are stored in an index database for use in later queries. We know that several meta tag can be added to our site such as meta name description, keyword, author, copyright, ratings, etc.

Some search engines such as google store all part of the source page (reffered as a cache) as well as information about the web pages, whereas others, such as altavista, store every word of every page they find. This cached page always holds the actual search text since it is the one that was useful when current page has been updated and the search terms are no longer in it.

Talking about search engine, there's a new search engine that was being in experimental stage now. The name is ranknoodle search engine. I have tried to search one keyword "business ", when I was finished searching then I saw some several search results. The results came from the search engine were :

a. Business definition with a brief description in the top page.

b. Related topic, I saw five of business topic that related with keyword "business". Those related topic are about business, opening a business, what does a business do?, How do I start a succesfull retail business? and what kind of business.

We can expand and collapse the related pages topic and also can add a reply to this related topic. I think it's really interesting because we can reply about our thoughts to this search engine about keyword that has been searched.

c. Web Result for keyword "business". The result was displaying 10 sites from 1,239,455 results. Well, it seem this search engine has been indexed so many sites until now.

Well, friends do you have tried this search engine ? I thinks you will see a bit different with this search engine but my opinion this search engine is good and can give a different option in search engine world.
